Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT):

The Brian Ludwig Foundation (BLF) has initiated a minimum investment ENDOWMENT FUND of $10,000.00 to be held in perpetuity. This endowment is called the "Brian Ludwig Legacy Fund". It is interest bearing at 7% annually. Of the approximately $700.00 interest collected the funds will be dispersed as follows:

a. Anything over $350.00 will be re-invested back into the fund.

b. Balance will be awarded to a student AWARD who meets the following criteria:
· Must be a Canadian citizen of any ethnic origin;
· In need of financial assistance;
· Second, Third or Fourth semester (or any portion thereof);
· General Student Award in the School of Business.

Student Awards

Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT):

The BLF has initiated the following student awards COMMITTING TO A MINIMUM OF 3 YEARS per award:

1. General Construction Award called "Brian Ludwig Memorial Award" with the following criteria:
· Value $500.00
· Second, Third or Fourth semester (or any portion thereof);
· Financial need;
· Academic Merit;
· Canadian citizen.

2. General Athletic Award called "Brian Ludwig Memorial Award" with the following criteria:
· Value $500.00
· Full time Student;
· Second, Third or Fourth semester (or any portion thereof);
· Financial need;
· SAIT Trojan's men hockey player;
· Canadian citizen;
· Preference given to athlete who displays community leadership through the Trojans Outreach Program (TOP).

Memorial Award Recipients

1. March 2014 went to Kelcy Tolentino, a student of the Architectural Technologies Program.

2. June 2014 went to Matthew Weisensel , a student of the Bachelor of Business Admin Program.

3. February 2015 went to Lan Zheng, a student of the Bachelor of Science/Construction Project Management.

4. June 2015 went to Mikael Jung, a student of the Information Technology Program.

5. April 2016 - Mohamud Osman - a student of the Geomatics Engineering Technology Program.

6. June 2016 - Tyson McCallum - a student of the Bachelor of Business Admin Program.

7. May 2017 - Hunter Mills - a student of the Bachelor of Business Admin Program.

8. May 2017 - Johnny Stoll - a student of the Civil Engineering Technology Program.
